How does surge arrester work?

A surge arrester works by diverting extra voltage to the ground, rather than flowing through electronics, while allowing normal voltage to continue along its path.

 

Characteristics of surge arresters

● Application: Protect various electrical equipment in the power system from damage caused by lightning overvoltage, operating overvoltage, power frequency overvoltage;

● Color: Red, Brown, Gray or Customer's requirement;

● Applicable Standard: IEC, GB, BS, ANSI, AS or Customer's requirement;
